What is a PDF to PowerPoint Converter?

Pictures, charts, logos, shapes and coloured backgrounds are kept together as one background picture on each slide. They look right, but individual shapes and chart values can't be edited. Charts can be recreated in PowerPoint from the numbers.
Why does some text look slightly different?
The slides use the fonts named in the PDF. If a font isn't installed on your computer, PowerPoint substitutes a similar one, which can make a line a little wider or narrower. Installing the font, or choosing Exact look mode, avoids this.
Some text is not editable. Why?
Text that is rotated, part of an image, or drawn with special effects in the PDF stays in the background picture so nothing goes missing. Only regular, upright text becomes editable.
Can it convert scanned PDFs to PowerPoint?
Scanned pages are pictures of text, so they are added to the slides as pictures. Making that text editable would need OCR (optical character recognition), which this tool does not do.
What is Exact look mode?
It puts each PDF page onto its slide as one high-resolution picture. The slides look identical to the PDF, but the text can't be edited. It is best for posters, infographics or presenting a PDF as a slideshow.
