What is a PDF form filler?

How does Detect fields work, and how accurate is it?
It reads the boxes, table cells and underlines the page draws, the underscores, dotted leaders and check-box symbols in its text, and the empty space after labels that end with a colon. Scanned forms are read as pictures. Cells with text in them, frames and rules under sentences are skipped. It gets a clean form almost entirely right, but always check: drag or resize a field that is off, and delete a wrong one with its ร. Each field is named after the label beside it, which readers like Acrobat show.
What does โFlattenโ do?
It draws the answers permanently onto the page and removes the form fields, so the PDF prints exactly and the answers can’t be changed. Choose โKeep it fillableโ if you still want to edit it later.
Can I make my own PDF fillable?
Yes. Choose โText fieldโ or โCheck box fieldโ, click on the page, and drag or resize the box. When you download with โKeep it fillableโ, they are real form fields anyone can fill.
Will the filled form open in Adobe Reader?
Yes. The answers are saved in the form fields with their appearance, so they show in Adobe Reader, browsers and phone PDF apps.
Can I type in Hindi or Gujarati?
Yes. Fields keep the text you type, and flattened forms show it exactly as you typed it.
Why are no fields highlighted?
The PDF is a flat form without fillable fields. Click โจ Detect fields to create them, or use Text and the marks to fill it in. Some government forms are โXFAโ forms that only Adobe Reader can show; you can still type on them here.
Can I sign the form too?

It says the PDF is locked. What can I do?
